Skye Mashburn
Practice Manager

Skye began her education at Georgia Southern University. Majoring in Health Science, she eventually transferred to Armstrong Atlantic State University where she obtained a degree in Dental Hygiene. She has been a practicing clinical hygienist for over 24 years. Of those years, 20 have been spent primarily as a Pediatric Dental Hygienist. Skye knew at an early age that she wanted to work with children in some capacity. However, she never dreamed her career would be so exciting and rewarding. Trading in her clinical skills, Skye now plays the important role of managing the office as our Practice Manager. On rare occasions, if needed, she still enjoys getting back in the operatory and treating patients. Skye is an active member of Eastern Heights Baptist Church and sings with the EHBC praise team. She is also a Krav Maga instructor with Fit to Fight GA. Skye is very passionate about helping people become safer in their lives, especially in the area of Women’s Personal Protection. She greatly enjoys teaching seminars for local battered women’s shelters such as Safe Haven and works closely with the Rape Crisis Center of the Coastal Empire conducting quarterly self-protection seminars. Skye has lived in Statesboro all her life and growing up, held many local and state pageant titles. She prides herself in knowing that she paid for most of her education using scholarships won while competing in the Miss Georgia/Miss America pageant system. She is a certified Miss Georgia Preliminary judge. In spare time Skye enjoys singing, reading, running and training. She also enjoys spending time with her husband Todd and their daughters Ivey and Alex.


Lauren Watson
Dental Hygienist

Lauren was raised in Metter, Georgia and graduated from David Emanuel Academy. She later attended Southeastern Technical College where she obtained a degree in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. Lauren enjoys spending time with her poodle, Holly and her Cat, Luna. Lauren is a recent newlywed and is married to her high school sweetheart. She and her husband Collin live in Metter and are excited about starting this new adventure in their lives. When not at home planting flowers and working in her yard, Lauren loves going to the beach. She also enjoys cooking, decorating, shopping, and spending time with family and friends.


Meredith Waters
Dental Hygienist

Meredith graduated Magna Cum Laude from The Medical College of Georgia in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. She has been a fill-in hygienist with Dr. John since 2005 and joined the team full time in 2014. She is looking forward to becoming part of the combined teams of Dr. John and Dr. Patel. She is a native of Glennville and has resided in Statesboro since 2003. Meredith is married to Andy and they have three children, Ava, Charlie, and Tess. She is a member of First Baptist Church Statesboro and enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, and being with family and friends.


Stacy Worrell
Dental Hygienist

Stacy grew up in Perry, Georgia, home of the Georgia National Fair. She graduated from Middle Georgia Technology College with a degree in Dental Hygiene. Stacy has been working as a Hygienist for over 11 years. She began working in pediatric dentistry in 2013 and fell in love with working with children! When she is not working here with our sweet patients, Stacy is the busy Mom to 3 beautiful children. She also enjoys running, reading, and spending time with family and friends.


Wendy Butler
Dental Hygienist

Wendy graduated from Armstrong Atlantic State University in 1992 with an Associates degree in Dental Hygiene and received the Proctor and Gamble award of Excellence in that same year. She is the wife of Ken Butler to whom she has been married for 22 years and is the mother of two beautiful girls, Kate and Emily and co-parents her nephew Alexander. They are long time residents of Bryan County and are active members of Holy Cross Catholic Church of Pembroke. Her interests are spending time with family and friends, playing with her two miniature dachshunds and being an active member of a women’s Bible study group.


Kayla Ellis
Surgical Coordinator

Kayla was born and raised in Statesboro, Ga. She graduated from Ogeechee Technical College’s Dental Assistant Program and worked in Orthodontics for 8 years. Kayla was a part of the team that helped us open the practice 2 years ago. She and her husband, Marc live in Statesboro and have a 4-year-old son Luke, and a 9-month-old daughter Avery Brooke. Kayla loves being outdoors, working in her garden and spending time with her family.


Tiffany Crawford
Treatment Coordinator

Tiffany is always smiling and ready to make your next appointment! Tiffany was raised in Metter where she graduated Metter Highschool then attended East Georgia State College. Tiffany still resides in Metter with her husband Clay. They have a 4-year-old daughter, Anna Hayze, and are preparing for their second daughter to be born in August. Tiffany enjoys spending time with her family and friends. In her free time, you can find her at the beach or at the lake.


Alice Puccio
Financial Coordinator

Alice was born and raised in Brunswick, GA and graduated from Brunswick High School in 1993. She attended both Brunswick College and Valdosta State University where she graduated with a degree in Sociology. She began her career in the pediatric dental field when she joined Dr. Wasdin’s team in September of 2000 in the front office and currently serves as a Financial Coordinator with Dr. Wasdin and Dr. Patel’s combined practice.
Alice resides in Statesboro, GA with her husband, JJ and their daughter, Kaylee. She enjoys spending time with her family, serving as the Mission Friends Director at her church, and supporting Georgia Southern University Athletics. She is most passionate about traveling and cheering her daughter on at the soccer field.
Alice says of her job: “It brightens my day to see all the sweet little faces peeking through the window of my office. I feel very blessed to work in such a caring environment”.


Tabitha Holmes
Scheduling Coordinator

Tabitha is likely one of the first people to greet you and to help you get on your way after visiting us. She is the perfect person for this position. Her passion for caring for people developed early in her childhood and she always knew that she wanted to work in a position of serving others. She attended and graduated from Ogeechee Technical College earning a certificate in medical coding and has had the opportunity to work in several medical offices to enhance her customer service skills. She always knew she wanted to work in the dental setting and feels blessed by the opportunity to join our team at Statesboro Pediatric Dentistry.
She is an active member at the Gordon Grove Baptist Church and enjoys going to church, shopping, traveling and spending quality time with her family.


Lynn Johnson
Financial Coordinator

Lynn was born and raised in South Burlington, Vermont. After living in Rock Hill, SC for 18 years, she and her husband Kenny moved to his hometown of Swainsboro, GA. Lynn brings 20 years of front office administrative experience in a pediatric dental office and in dental insurance. When she is not working, Lynn enjoys spending time outdoors with her yellow lab Prado, watching Braves baseball and UGA football (Go Dawgs!) and exercising daily to stay healthy and fit.


Rachael Adams
Dental Assistant

Rachael has been a pediatric dental assistant since 2014 and has enjoyed it in every way! She enjoys working with children and making their dental visit as fun as possible, no matter how silly she must act to put a smile on their faces. She says that most children fear the dentist so helping them overcome that fear is rewarding! Rachael was raised in a small town in West Tennessee, so she enjoys going to Tennessee Football games with her diehard Volunteer fan, husband Cody and their daughter Payton. She spends her free time with her family, kayaking, playing video games and reading on the porch with a glass of sweet tea. Rachael is one of our 3 awesome dental assistants and our #1 office clown! She keeps us all on our toes because she loves to scare! And she always keeps us laughing.


Monica Camacho
Dental Assistant

Monica completed the dental assisting program from Montana State University and has been working with children ever since. She believes children are so easy to love and make laugh. helping them overcome their fears and to educate them is an amazing feeling to her. they also remind us it’s okay to be silly!!
A fun fact about Monica is that she is bilingual as her parents are argentinian and peruvian. She has one daughter; a sweet beautiful princess named Ariel and enjoys spending time doing lots of fun things with her. Monica also enjoys cooking, listening to music, and playing video games.
We absolutely love Monica and are thankful everyday that she’s a part of our team!!!


Carmen Ryals
Dental Assistant

Carmen has been a Pediatric Dental Assistant since 1993. She started out as a receptionist for a Pediatric Dentist on St. Simons Island and within a few months was offered the opportunity to train as a chair-side assistant. She worked on St. Simons for 11 years before relocating to Statesboro. She has worked with Dr. Wasdin since 2006 and is excited about working with the combined teams of Dr Wasdin and Dr. Patel. When she is not working with children at the office, she is dedicated to teaching and mentoring the children and youth at her church. In her free time, she enjoys working out, running, playing softball and tennis and spending time with family and friends.


Laura L. Wasdin
Dental Assistant

After graduating from Georgia Southern University with a degree in Secondary Mathematics Education and teaching High School math classes for seven years, Laura helped her husband, Dr. John, open Statesboro Children’s Dental Center in July, 2000. In the beginning, Laura used her love of mathematics in her role as bookkeeping administrator. Gradually, Laura began to work alongside the assistants and hygienists to help with patient care. Through the years she has gained a wealth of knowledge about all aspects of pediatric dentistry. She is excited about the merger of Dr. John’s and Dr. A’s practices and enjoys helping with the combined practices in any way she can. Laura and Dr. John have two children and enjoy, very much, living and working in Statesboro. When she is not helping at the office, Laura enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, supporting her children in all their activities and serving in her church, First Baptist Church of Statesboro.
