Skye began her education at Georgia Southern University. Majoring in Health Science, she eventually transferred to Armstrong Atlantic State University where she obtained a degree in Dental Hygiene. She has been a practicing clinical hygienist for over 24 years. Of those years, 20 have been spent primarily as a Pediatric Dental Hygienist. Skye knew at an early age that she wanted to work with children in some capacity. However, she never dreamed her career would be so exciting and rewarding. Trading in her clinical skills, Skye now plays the important role of managing the office as our Practice Manager. On rare occasions, if needed, she still enjoys getting back in the operatory and treating patients. Skye is an active member of Eastern Heights Baptist Church and sings with the EHBC praise team. She is also a Krav Maga instructor with Fit to Fight GA. Skye is very passionate about helping people become safer in their lives, especially in the area of Women’s Personal Protection. She greatly enjoys teaching seminars for local battered women’s shelters such as Safe Haven and works closely with the Rape Crisis Center of the Coastal Empire conducting quarterly self-protection seminars. Skye has lived in Statesboro all her life and growing up, held many local and state pageant titles. She prides herself in knowing that she paid for most of her education using scholarships won while competing in the Miss Georgia/Miss America pageant system. She is a certified Miss Georgia Preliminary judge. In spare time Skye enjoys singing, reading, running and training. She also enjoys spending time with her husband Todd and their daughters Ivey and Alex.
